Medium Sudoku
Balanced challenge for regular Sudoku players.
Medium Sudoku uses fewer given clues and asks for more candidate tracking across rows, columns, and boxes.
Pick this level when you want a meaningful challenge without the longer solve paths of hard mode.

Medium puzzles require hidden singles in addition to naked singles. A hidden single is a digit that can only go in one cell within a row, column, or box — even if that cell has several candidates written in it.
Notes mode is your best tool at this level. Enable it and write all possible candidates into each empty cell before making any moves. As you fill in digits, eliminate the matching candidates from the same row, column, and box.
Scanning for hidden singles means looking at each digit 1 through 9 and asking: in this row, column, or box, is there only one cell where this digit can go? If yes, place it.
Medium grids typically have 28 to 35 given clues. That range leaves enough empty cells to require real candidate work, but not so few that you need advanced techniques like naked pairs or pointing pairs.
If you get stuck, the hint system will identify the next technique needed and explain it step by step. Reading those explanations is one of the best ways to move from medium to hard difficulty.
